HISTORY: A 74-year-old man who was a school teacher by profession. When he was a student in class 8-9, he used to suffer from acidity and dysentery. He had a few episodes of non-itchy skin rashes that used to appear on his legs during summer. There were calluses on his feet. He did homeopathy treatment for approx. 1 year which resolved all his problems. Since he belonged to a family of farmers, at that time he used to help in winnowing and threshing wheat and paddy. He was very active and used to play football and also did yoga. Due to peer pressure, he started smoking bidis (7-8day) and sometimes cigarette (1-2/day), continuing till date. He is nonalcoholic. In the year 2008, he retired from his teaching profession. During his time as a teacher, he used to play football and badminton with the students till the age of 60. 1 yr after retirement, due to a land dispute which lead to a lot of stress, his health deteriorated. In 2009, due to a bulge in his groin region, he went to a Clinician, who diagnosed it as ? an inguinal hernia. But on taking medication, the hernia became septic. He was asked to do a blood sugar test, which yielded a result of 210 mg/dL. From then onwards he is taking medication (Tenglyn M-1000) for his diabetes, which is now under control. 1.5 month ago, 114 mg/dL. A few months later, during a routine checkup, HTN was detected. Under medication for the same (Azomex 5). In the yr 2010, while returning home he felt dizzy and disoriented. He was taken to Dr. who told him that he had had a mild episode of brain stroke. A few days later he started complaining of knee pain and having difficulty walking. Treatment by a few local Doctors yielded unconvincing results. Finally, in the year 2016, went to Bangalore, but still, no improvement was observed with medication. So, returned home. In 2019, he had quite a few episodes of seizures. One day after returning home from a walk he suddenly lost consciousness and fell on a scooter parked in his home. He was senseless for 25-25 sec. He visited another Clinician who diagnosed him to be suffering from Parkinsonism. Now taking his recommended medicine (Syndopa 275, Parnil 2). He says with medicine, sometimes he feels a little better, sometimes no improvement at all, but the initial knee pain has gone. But the frequency of seizures has reduced quite a lot. Now, for the last 2.5 months, he is walking with the help of a walking stick. 2 months ago, he started feeling feverish every day till now from 9am -1pm. But when temp. was measured it was always between 96-97 F. During that time, his extremities feel too cold and while this feverish feeling goes away at around 1pm he feels extremely weak, so much so that he is skipping his lunch. 1.5 months ago, while standing in a shop in the market, he felt as if someone suddenly pushed him from behind and he lost consciousness and fell down. Next, while having dinner, he had an episode of seizure and was in a disoriented state for 3-4 mins. These happened 2-3 times. The same happened while he was in the latrine 2-3 times. 7 days ago he had a slight pain in his lower back which got resolved with homeopathy. He started doing yoga 1 year ago. He claims that after doing yoga he can walk comparatively better. He still goes to the market and has no difficulty as such in doing his day-to-day activities, but experiencing a gradual weakness while walking. He says that there is a mild tremor in his hands. His speech is a bit slurry. He is also suffering from gastric problems for the past 3 months, so taking medicine (Cyra D). He used to practice homeopathy during his days as a teacher.
